From the debriefing recording of Graham “Squirrel” Smith
Transcribed by Dr. Harold Moore, MD.
Sue: The recording has started. Let the record show that we have six people in the debriefing, plus Graham. We have Cedric Donahue, Eric Hackett, Dr. Harold Moore, Ben Camp, Christopher Collins, and myself, Sue Sobar. Giving the report is Graham Smith, also known as Squirrel.
Eric: Go ahead, boy. Tell us everything that happened.
Graham: Right. Well. I was taken and Collins rescued me.
Ben: Well, that is profound. Do you care to elaborate?
Graham: Sure. I was taken from the truck. Then I was locked up. Then I was found by Collins. He drove me back.
Cedric: <Laughter>
Eric: Boy, you’ve got to give us the full report. Tell us exactly what happened. Every single detail.
Cedric: Squirrel, do you remember telling me stories about school?
Graham: Yes.
Cedric: Do you remember the amount of details you used?
Graham: Right. So, I need to do that now?
Sue: Please do.
Graham: I was just following the instructions Cedric gave me. We were getting shot at and everything. Cedric told me to haul it back here in the truck. He didn’t want them getting the truck while we were searching.
So, I did. I was just about to the bridge. You know, the long one about halfway back.
I was maybe a quarter mile from the bridge when three SUVs came around the corner, out from a road I hadn’t been paying attention to, ya’ know? There ain’t no traffic.
So, they blocked off the road and started firing from one of the roof mounted guns. Only one of the SUVs had the roof gun. None of them hit me, but I swerved anyway. Instinct, ya’ know?
I ran the truck into the ditch. I was just about to throw it in reverse when I saw one of them holding a gun up to the passenger window. I must have lost a few seconds when I crashed. One second I was hitting the ditch, the next, they were there.
Some woman was in charge. She had darker skin. Not like she had any kind of ethnic background or anything. More like she used bottles of fake tan.
Collins: Was it the same woman that was on the ground whenever we left? Blonde hair? Voice like a chain smoker?
Graham: I didn’t see her then. I was just trying to get gone. But that sounds right. She introduced herself. Jackie something.
But after she introduced herself, she nodded sideways at a guy. Next thing I knew, he was throwing the butt of his gun in my face. I fell to the ground but didn’t pass out that time. I think they must have kicked me or something. The next thing I knew, I was waking up and it was pitch black and a bit cold.
Sue: You were in the storage barn Collins told us about then?
Graham: Yeah. Never moved from in there. There was a giant jug of water in the corner. Like the kind they use in office buildings. They had set the thing up in a hurry.
